Water Treatment Plant Improvements, Town of Queensbury
As general contractor, U.W. Marx implemented the upgrade and expansion of the existing 1961 plant from a capacity of 3.5 million gallons per day to 15 million gallons per day.
The expansion and improvements involved installation of a fifth storage tank (1MG), a new transmission main, a filter building, 2 new lagoons, new pumping stations, and four freeze-dry beds.
The plant uses the Hudson River as its raw water source.
